Fluid Speech

This article by Judy Endow does come from the field of Autism but I have found the problem sometimes in my dyslexic clients: They have great ideas, wonderful stories and a lot of insight worth sharing – but what eventually comes out of their mouth is a poor copy of it. Pictures are not in a linear form, as the language that describes them. A lot of the value of a picture gets lost in translation and unfortunately stops some people from even trying to convey their valuable input.

Mrs. Endow does give some very useful tips on how to best overcome that obstacle, several strategies that have worked well for her and might work for you too. You don’t have to be autistic to have an avalanche of images and usually it is not only verbally, but also the written form can be a huge struggle.
